IFHP – short for the International Federation of Health Plans – is a globally active federation based in London. Every two years, around 180 CEOs from various health insurance companies from around the world come together at the IFHP conference. GPM organised the most recent conference at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski. Top speakers from the worlds of international economics and politics, and scholars from renowned universities such as Harvard and Cambridge were invited. The event featured a private organ concert in the Berlin Cathedral, followed by a reception and flying buffet at the Bode Museum. The participants were also treated to an exclusive private tour through the exhibitions. This cultural programme also included a private concert with a quartet from the Berlin Philharmonic in the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. The conference gala took place in the DZ Bank on Pariser Platz, the Axica. Guests were entertained by Sharon Brauner and her band, and a Marlene Dietrich impersonator.
Evening event in the historic Bode Museum
The Bode Museum is part of Berlin’s Museum Island, a UNSECO world heritage site. It is home to a comprehensive scripture collection, the Museum for Byzantine Art and the coin cabinet. Our client, the IFHP, not only wanted to offer their guests an exclusive meal in a stylish ambience, but also wanted to provide some culture. Participants were able to admire the art while enjoying the flying buffet, and were guided through the exhibits by experts.
Gala at the Axica Conference Centre
The Axica was the ideal location for the IFHP gala. The location alone, on Pariser Platz directly by the Brandenburg Gate, is sure to impress. Once you open the doors, the architectural creativity of Frank O. Gehry really comes to light. Its versatility and high quality standards make the Axica an ideal partner for special receptions, gala dinners or conferences. It is exactly this versatility that impressed us, as we organised a conference for the 25th anniversary of the EBV oil storage association, complete with top-level speakers, in this exceptional location. The team supporting Axica offered very competent advice and flexible production, as well as friendly, pleasant communication. We enjoy nothing more than planning and implementing events here.
